No. With ChatGPT, shoppers are sent to your own Shopify store checkout, so you keep the customer, the order and your payment setup. Some other channels (like Google AI Mode/Gemini or Copilot) can offer direct checkout once you turn it on.
No. Shopify turns the ChatGPT channel on by default for eligible stores. The catch is eligibility, which is what I fix.
Shopify stores that sell to US customers, are on the Starter plan or higher, have their policies completed and sell products allowed in Shopify Catalog. B2B-only products and restricted categories aren't supported.
